I have an appartment in Guardamar since July and I would like to meet people (man, woman and both) here and surroundings to share our free time, have an apperitive or a dinner, have a walk, dance, talk about this and that, people who feel lonely.

I am from Madrid, I speak English enough to be understood and I am 58 years old.

I live 8km from Guadamar and love it! I am English but my Spanish is ok (could do with help!). Like socialising and walking a lot (my husband not so keen).
I am 48 and happy to meet for a drink or something?

Margaret, you will probably come across some English people at the castle square . They are usually sitting in the sun at cafe Juanda tent over by BBVA

Hello Margaret, My wife, Joan, & I have lived in Guardamar in an apartment opposite the autobus station for 14 years and love Guardamar with the freedom to walk to all the important everyday shops, townhall, park, forests, beach etc. We do drive to Santa Pola, Elche, Torrevieja, Rojales, Almoradí etc but we could do all those trips using the good network of buses that passes through Guardamar. I can order most meals in Spanish but Joan can chat with the locals in Spanish if they slow-down to her level of understanding. We try to support the local entertainment & cafes with a few aquaintances of different nationalities. Joan is now a slow walker due to arthritis, but we walk to the promenade every week for a tapas at El Velacho which is always busy - usually a reliable indicator of good service. Hello. I'm Graham. 62, going on 22. I live up near Vilamartin, for my sins, but would welcome the chance to meet others in a different area. It's only 10-15 minutes by car. It will do me good to "escape" occasionally and try to practice my Spanish :)
