Hello everyone,
Does anyone know if looking for a property be it an appartment / villa to purchase for a Holiday Rental income.
Would it be easier and simpler to purchase an already licensed for holiday rental property, so all I need to do is change the name, on the ayuntamiento permit, after obtaining the property?
I would be interested in experienced peoples views on this matter.

It's certainly much easier than trying to obtain a licence for a property that hasn't had one.
I've got a one bedroom licensed property for sale between Denia and Javea if it's of any interest. 6000€ rental income in 2019.

If you can buy an already licensed property then it will save you a lot of time and stress as it is transferable. The License is issued by the office for tourism, not the town hall (they just do the compatibility certificate) but your solicitor should be able to arrange the name change as part of their conveyancing service. Having said that, you may find it hard to find a property on the market with a license that is exactly where you want and what you want at the price you want.
Keep in mind that it is not possible to get a new license on all properties, so if buying one without an existing license ask your legal team to run additional checks to ensure a license can be obtained before signing anything.
