Hi

I wondered if you could help me.

I am a plumber and currently have my own small buisness in England.

Me my wife want to move to Spain but don't know how easy it would be to find work.

Could you tell me how much a plumber gets paid around this region and also how hard it would be for me to find work?

Regards

Ashley

If you want to come to Spain to live permanently and require work you will need to apply for a work visa or if you are fortunate enough to find a position then your new employer would need to sponsor you.

Any jobs that become available have to be offered to an EU citizen first.

I can't tell you the exact amount but there are desperate unemployed plumbers/builders that are willing to do a day's work for well below average wage.

Since covid first appeared there has been high unemployment rates within the building trade.

Hello

You have to apply for a visa ( in your case  a work visa) from the Spanish Embassy in the UK.  If granted, this  allows you to come to Spain  to apply to become  become resident &  for work. Failing that your passport will be stamped on arrival, for up to 90 days only -- these are the rules post Brexit. There are many topics & replies  on the forum on this subject of Visas, so try the search box  above the posts.
