Hello

A new high for Amazon.es. Ordered some items 2days ago & due for delivery tomorrow 28th.

They came this morning - 27th,  while I was out......Told driver I'd be back in one hour but he said  he couldnt come back + no neighbours here to take it so I said," I'm sorry but  I'm in Mercadona" He replied.....No problem I'll come  to Mercadona!! I rushed to pay for half my shopping, went outside & he was  waiting in the car park & I got the package.

I put the groceries I'd paid for  into my shopping trolley (secured in the store) and went back inside   to complete my shopping trip ha!

That's real customer service, well done Amazon.es.

Cheers

 Elinspain

Amazon Prime is making me lazier each month. If I want/¡ or need something and can't find it the first place I look, I order it from Amazon.

That's what you call good service:-)!

I use Amazon.es all the time and have to say that all the delivery drivers have been very pleasant and helped take heavy items where I want them if needed. Sending back stuff is also so quick and simple, luckily I've only ever had to do this once.

Can any of you lovely people tell me what happens if nobody is in for the delivery......and no neighbours etc.

I want to place an order but it says I will be told delivery date after ordering and know we are both out some days.

Looked at option of picking up from delivery point but not an option for this.

Thank you.

Lynne

Hi,

Go onto your account,  where it says at the top of the page Hola......Cuenta y listas  tap that, then choose cuenta, next is direcciónes,  then tap  agregar otra dirección , scroll down and it says  Instrucciones de entrega(opcional). Go onto that and all your delivery options are available.  Good luck :-)

Hi Lynne

We use Amazon delivery lockers regularly, it's so easy!

The only problem is that if the item is not fulfilled directly by Amazon (ie you've ordered from a 3rd party) then the lockers can't be used - maybe that's why you don't see the option.

Cheers

Steve

As Madcatwoman said, you can put special instructions in. For example I put "Leave it on the top step." So far so good. I'll change it if anything gets stolen.

Thanks all but I really want to know what happens if a parcel cannot be delivered.

Is a card left of where can pick it up from?

Or a phone number to reschedule delivery?

For what I want, the only option is home delivery.

If we are not in, it would have to be left on the pavement or thrown over the wall, so not good options.

Thanks again.

As you’re placing the order it shows when the item will be delivered. If that’s not a good day, wait until later to order, to get delivery the following day. You’ll get emails to confirm delivery arrangements with instructions to rearrange

Once ordered, I’ve found that the courier will usually call when they’re a few minutes away. If you say you’re not home they usually suggest a time to return. Or offer to bring the item to you (as happened to Elinspain in original post).  I’ve had them offer to deliver to the restaurant I’m in!
