Hi all. I will ask my Lawyer, but im hearing that if you are in Spain on an NLV, you are only allowed out of Spain for 30 days in the first year. I was told that so long as you are in Spain for more than 183 days in the year and thus a Fiscal Resident, then all is good! Any advice appreciated - thanks.

Just wondering how they would know? I would imagine that the most important thing is that you're Spanish tax resident.

Not sure that "wondering how would they know" ranks as a solid base for starting a new life in another country?

By the entry/exit stamps in your passport, I assume.

Thanks. Im still a little confused, though by the explanation in the link as it doesn't fully explain if the 'sporadic' entry/exit is 30 days at a time (obviously not to exceed the 183 day limit) or 30 days total. Guess its one for my Lawyer.
Those who got Residency pre-Brexit are allowed to do roughly 6 months in each country ( UK and Spain), but need to be in Spain for 183 days or more for fiscal reasons each year.
Those that came post Brexit on the NLV can stay a maximum of 6 months (less than 183 days) in any one of the first 5 years but can only stay out of Spain for a maximum of 10 months in total over those 5 years.
It seems you have got information from both situations but not sure where the 30 days has come from.

Thanks Cheryl. The info came from a friend, who was told it by their Lawyer. Also, if you look at the link 'Tebo53' sent to me, you will see why I have a concern. I think it's meant to be interpreted as max of 30 days at any one time, but obviously not to exceed the 183 day minimum stay period. I think my friends Lawyer interpretes as 30 days in the year - full stop - which can't be correct, otherwise why have the 183 minimum stay statement?

Yes, brain just picked up the relevance of the 30 days!

You don't get entry/exit stamps as a Spanish resident.
