If it’s community charges, then your solicitor will have all the information for you, as they have to check with the administrators that there are no outstanding debts on the property.
Your solicitor should have set up direct debits for you for everything.
IBI although it hasn’t been collected as yet , is normally paid by whoever owns the property on Jan 1
Basura, collection varies by municipality. It can be collected quarterly, twice a year, yearly and can also be paid via your water bill, SUMA or town hall.
Water is quarterly, electric is monthly.
All of the above should already be set up for you.
Your solicitor doesn’t normally have anything to do with broadband or tv packages and you also be responsible for completing your own tax return, or finding an accountant to help you.
You should have asked how much your community charge was before purchasing the property.. it’s the one thing that can vary enormously. Lots of factors make up the charge - Depends on the size of the pool, the garden area, other communal area and how much electricity is used. etc etc. Some communities collect payments monthly other collect annually. A monthly charge can be anything from 10€ To 200€ per month.
