Hi all expats living in Monover that use the medical centre.

Three years ago my wife passed away in Elda hospital, she had been given the pain killer Nolitol which should Not be given to NORTHERN EUROPEANS as it lowers the white blood cells to zero instructions have been given to all hospitals,medical centres and pharmacies , together with Cristina Research and many others we have taken a class action against the manufacturers of the pain killer. Last week I had to attend the Monovar Medical centre and to my disbelief I was proscribed Nolitol the same drug that killed my wife. I must admit I did loose my cool, so please take note if your are English DO NOT ACCEPT NOLITOL by doing so it may save your life

My wife was in Vega Baja hospital recently and they were putting her on a pain relief drip, fortunately she knew about Nolotil and said to the nurse "Ingles, no Nolotil" and without a word she took whatever she'd brought away and returned with a Paracetamol drip instead.

I learnt about Nolitol the hard way. My medical centre should have known about the effects Nolitol has on Northern Europeans.
As I said all medical centres, pharmacies ,doctors and hospital were notified by the Spanish Health Authorities 18 months ago.

I had asked for this to be put on my medical notes, a hospital translator has since advised me to say I'm allergic to Nolotil.

Hi johnboy,

Thank you for your reminder. The problem with Nolotil being prescribed to Brits and other Northern Europeans has been known for years. I'm very sorry that your wife lost her life because of this, that's shocking. And so equally shocking that you were prescribed it too. I hope your medical centre understood why you were so upset 😔
