Hi everyone just a quick question, we were about to source a pool cover but have seen some messages where people who have used them in the past are no longer using them now - with better results?

So our question is simply what happens to a pool that is covered - we thought it would prevent leaves etc and keep it warmer and cleaner - but this is all new to us so we appreciate any advice given.

If anyone can point us in the right direction for a reasonable company that supply pool covers and roller systems so that if we do decide to go for a cover (depending on any advice given) we will know where to start.

thanks

Very vague advice, I know, but I'm sure a pool guy posted saying that the water stayed healthier if uncovered.

Hi

My poolman said that its best to see the pool all year round. Topping up water and keeping your eye on it.

He said the pool covers can trap cats and other creatures when they try and walk on it they go under and drown.

And i personally didnt fancy killing or fishing out the dead in the morning. 😨

Thank you for your reply - totally agree couldn't face fishing out a dead animal from our pool , just because we thought a cover was a good idea.
