The Costa Blanca is full to overflowing with people of all nationalities trying to get a job of some description. The ‘services’ sector which caters to the ex-pat community is overflowing with this kind of thing. You may possibly be able to get a few hours here and there amongst neighbours, but to work legally you will have to register as ‘autonomo’ - self-employed - which will immediately bring you into the Spanish tax and social security system. Also, as you are below retirement age, you will both have to have private medical insurance if you intend to become residents.

There is a large unemployment situation here amongst Spanish people and the Spanish companies are going to employ them first - especially if you don’t speak Spanish. Many of the companies owned by foreign people use self-employed staff as the costs to employers are huge.

Sorry, but you have to be very realistic about this.
