Hi everyone, given that to obtain the NLVISA I would hopefully be accepted on my savings and renting forever, can anyone tell me of a Spanish bank that actually pays interest on savings. Finally in the U.K. we are seeing 2-5 % depending on easy access or fixed, every little bit helps.

Forget trying to get interest on Spanish bank deposits, the most generous pay interest rates so small, you need an electron microscope to see them.
Your best bet is to keep your money in UK accounts, decouple from the UK tax system once you're resident, and pay your income tax in Spain, declaring all your overseas income of course. There is always the question of exchange rates to worry about following this tactic, however, which wasn't a big issue until Librium Liz took charge.
There is also the post Brexit issue of many UK financial institutions not allowing EU residents to hold accounts. Many people suggest you change your address that your accounts are held in to some obliging relative like a son or daughter, and forget to tell the institution involved, but I couldn't possibly comment. Cough, cough...

As Jack has mentioned, there is nowhere to invest savings here in Spain. You are more likely to be charged for having your money here.

Yes absolutely, I heard on the news today that the government has pledged to stick with the triple lock (at least for next April)

If you are serious and know the risks involved then please do not rely thru a forum for financial advice.
Ask at your bank or thru a broker or investment adviser.

The OP isn't really asking for financial advice though, are they?
The simple question was whether anybody knows of any banks that pay interest on savings?
