Hi we are moving into the benidorm area and coming backwards and forwards to the uk on a regular basis ( every 2.5 -3 months) with a large van, we have to come back to the uk anyway for work committments and to see our children and grandchildren, so was wondering if there is any demand for small removals, single items or anything else considered except people to move back to the uk? obviously we will also be coming back to benidorm after approx 3-4 weeks so could bring back things from the uk if that makes sense, have no idea if lots of other people are doing this already or if so what they charge, we would be insured and just dont want to come back to the uk with an empty van so would be very competitively priced. Would appreciate honest feed back or is this a total non starter from the getgo?

Hi pete im sorry but we were only putting feelers out to see if and what demand there was we are not in a position as yet to help you but hopefully in a couple of months we would be, it depends how desperate or quick you need your things as maybe look to someone else this time as wouldnt want to commit to it then let you down. maybe if you wanted to send me a message in the future and see where we are? cheers Julie x

Correct me if I am wrong, but I understand that a UK van cannot be re-registered and put through the ITV in Spain due to the fact that there is limited visibility.

Most Brits I have meet in many nations who leave the island seem to think they are "above the local or national law" and do whatever they want; so if you have the same mindset, then give it a go...

Also, in 9+ months hopefully there are alot of them returning so this could be a huge opportunity for you on the out-bound trips out of Spain but probably a empty van coming back.

Good luck...

Ok I stand corrected.  A friend tried to get his van onto Spanish plates and was told it wouldn’t be possible.  That was a few years ago but as you said the rules changed.

A friend of mine has been doing this for a couple of years now. He works from Benidorm and is kept very busy.

If you have Facebook look up "beni movers" and you will see his set-up.

I've known the owner personally for about 4 years and he is very reliable.

We always have items to come from the Midlands to Benidorm.

There is always the chance that there will also be custom duties plus paperwork for each individual item.

Think it is best to wait as was happens now or is law maybe irrelevant in less than a year.
