I'm wondering if anyone does holiday short term rents, property out in Benidorm (from the UK) and what are roughly the(company) fees to effectively manage the property ie clean after guests, hand any keys over (if needed) etc?

I realise that the size of accommodation would be needed to take into account

Thanks 🙂

The first thing to ask is do you already have your Tourist License? If not, you cannot let your property for holiday purpises, with or without a management company.

If you do have your Tourist License then there are two options: 1: You hand the property over entirely to an agent who handles holiday lets, or 2: manage the advertising and bookings yourself with the services of a keyholding company for checkins, cleans and emergency cover.

As a UK resident you will be paying 24% tax on the GROSS rental income, so the management fees are not tax deductible, nor are any other expenses.

Many thanks for your reply and the information given.

No property has been bought yet. However, my daughter is considering purchasing an apartment.

I'll pass this information on to her and thanks again.
