A qualified electrician is not the same on the island as it is in the EU... A lot of difference...

If you are a UK passport holder and want to live and work in Spain you will need a visa which has to be sponsored by a prospective employer.
Any available work in Spain must be offered to an EU citizen first.
If you are successful with your visa application then you can move over to Spain and apply for residency.

I presume by "the island" you mean UK?
At the very least you would need retrain - and in Spanish of course - but even then looking for a job offer with zero experience will not be at all easy.

Hi Jo,
Sorry to say that it not going to be easy as the previous replies indicate. Nothing in Spain is designed to be easy. Now you know the meaning of an NIE number, nothing is easy.!!
Apart from anything else the Standards for electrical work in Spain fall a long way short of the 15th edition and from what I have seen of some Spanish electricians' work I was horrified. They don't seem to grasp the idea that there are even Standards to follow.
I can't offer any suggestions except to try and find a UK electrician that you can work with to learn the ropes or maybe wires.
As a British electrician you will be horrified, just like I was.
