Thanks Val

We will need a bit more information. What passports do you have?

If you're not planning to work then this link is appropriate:

As you are both UK passport holders you can either retire here in Spain on the non-lucrative visa or if you intend on living here but want to work you will need to get a work visa.

Non lucrative visa will require an annual income of around €35,000 for a couple and you will need full private healthcare paid for a full year.

Work visa will require you to have a firm job offer (before you move) and your prospective employer will need to apply for a work visa on your behalf.

Visas are applied for from the Spanish consulate in London, Manchester or Edinburgh.

You will need to apply for either visa yourself and not through a third party.

All visas available here:

https://www.exteriores.gob.es/Consulados/londres/en/ServiciosConsulares/Paginas/inicio.aspx?fbclid=IwAR1eG3z8BkslmqEZkxQuWSdbHClDA-PW2eFp_02PhVHoUc9fR_Pv-3QFrhM

You can't just move to Spain permanently without some sort of visa.

We got our NLV last year and moved to Spain in March 2022. We did it through myspainvisa who guided us throughout the process. You need to provide bank statements, police checks, GP declaration, ensure you have one years medical insurance in place for entry to Spain, €33,000 in bank account for first year for married couple €73,000 for years two and three visa. You need to ensure you have proof of income for first year, proof of ipension or dividends. Certain Paperwork has to be translated into Spanish and Apositille stamp undertaken. We have just received our year two and three TIE card for visa after completing process here.  You can undertake all the work yourself but we found it easier to use a Spanish company to do so which will have a feeGood luck with your application.

We were advised 30,000 not 33,000 and no mention from out advisors about having 73,000 for year 2 but thanks for info
