it will depend on you and your neighbors not having standing water about and the wind speed whether out side or inside...

Thank you.
Mosquitoes in Spain, and other Med and hot countries, are a fact of life. Try using mosquito wipes or other repellents.

Start with something like this from Mercadona, https://tienda.mercadona.es/product/78694/body-spray-citronela-deliplus-bote
and then experiment by adding a few drops of things like tea tree oil, peppermint, rosemary and other aromatic herbs, till you get something that you like and smells good and works. Keep it with you in a small spray bottle and use liberally on exposed skin.

Just look for an insect repelent that contains a minimum of 40% Deet. It's the most effective you can get, although it is a bit expensive, but well worth it.

Be careful with high concentration DEET as it is corrosive to plastics and some metals ie watch straps, arm bands and cheaper jewelery

The question isn't being answered very well, imo.
I'm interested here too, as my missus has a problem.
I think to rephrase it, the question should be is there much of a problem with mossies at the moment?

People are trying to help by answering as to how to help prevent getting bitten because nobody can answer the question exactly, it all depends on conditions and as stated if there is standing water nearby. You could be at one part of a village or town and be fine and the other end the is an issue. Give them the right conditions and they will be there and will be out trying to feed!!

This is all out war. You need the plug in deterrent in the bedroom at night, slather yourself in repellent if outside, or cover yourself completely in heavy clothing, a determined mosquito can bite through denim. Put the plug in indoor deterrents in every room and if, like me, you can’t bear the anti mosquito burning coils outside, invest in one of the versions powered by miniature gas cylinders which use flat plaques which burn and give off invisible and odour free fumes. Then buy high quality antihistamine cream for the bites. The only one I have ever found that works is Anthisan, but not available here.
