Looking for a job within a veterinary clinic as a Qualified veterinary nurse in Benidorm.

I use a few vets in Spain. They are all Spanish nationals.

I am assuming you are fluent in Spanish,  search for the local vets and send your CV.

If you are not fluent it ain't going to happen as a large % of your clients will be Spanish.

I am a GP who has a holiday home. I've no desire to work in Spain,  if I did I wouldn't get a job as I am not able to read,  listen or speak Spanish at a conversational level. 

Agree totally with above; our local vets are Spanish, although 2 of them speak fluent English because of the foreign population, but this is a courtesy to us; the veterinary nurses do not speak English.

You would have to learn Spanish to a working level as most of the clients will be Spanish.

Ron. Yep or take a really sh.tty low paid job in a bar or restaurant and even these jobs are night on impossible to find.

Speaking English might be an asset in an ex pat area.  All the vets I have been to speak fluent English even so they are Spanish.  From what I have seen in waiting rooms the clients are mainly British or German.  I think in my area the Spanish left when we all came!  😊😊 Having said that you will still have to speak Spanish before anyone would employ you, paperwork etc will be in Spanish.  But if you put your mind to it you can 

learn it.

Hi Ron,  I am a registered dog breeder & parrot breeder,had boarding Kennels/cattery in the Benidorm area until I retired.There are vets.in Altea or Alfaz who would be interested in your services I am sure .Alfaz is a town of mainly Norwegians who all  speak English.My vet there who was always available only ever spoke to me in English although he was Spanish,You may need the language but many of his clients like to know you can converse with them & are aware of their concerns as a northern european too.You can only try by contacted them.

Thank you for your message, this gives me more motivation to come out to Benidorm.  I am concerned that not being able to speak Spanish would hold me back it given your reply this may not be the case.
