A long shot I know. I was wondering if someone could if possible send me a pay as you go spanish SIM card to the uk with credit on if you are allowed to go out to food shops. Obviously I’d pay before. I’m not sure where if any in uk sell them. Thanks

Apart from the not inconsiderable problem of the phone shops being shut to buy a SIM requires at the very least ID and for one which can topped up online (I'm assuming you're looking for something longer lived than 30 days) bank A/C details which, and I mean no offence, however charitably minded I think few will be willing to commit to for a complete stranger.

Perhaps if you said why it is you need a Spanish number somebody might be able to offer an alternative solution.

It occurred to me that a Skype number might do tbe job but it seems that Spain is not amongst the country options available with that.

I understand. I have a flat in monforte and I’m in uk but there was flood inside.its Under control I believe now as police informed me But I don’t think the Spanish residents in  the block x4  will call a uk number. Like I said long shot but thanks for replying.

Have you tried Lebara?

https://mobile.lebara.com/es/en/

They will send the sim through the post (although you will have to check they will send it to a UK address). As I’ve got one, I couldn’t check without changing my account details as mine was sent to my Spanish address.

If they will, you activate it by emailing a copy of your ID. You can top up and manage it all on the app.

Good luck

Shaun

Register a Skype account and buy a virtual number which is about €20 from memory.... I think a Spanish number is obtainable on the Skype platform.... inexpensive way to do it and if you have a mobile with wifi/3G coverage you can take the call. The caller pays the same as calling a Spanish number and it can be called from any phone with/without Skype.

Details here at https://www.skype.com/en/features/online-number/

Why not use WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger?   I use it all the time to keep in touch with family and friends and it costs me nothing!

It’s for my Spanish neighbours i just want them to have the options. None of the speak English and they have my uk mobile but Iv suggested watsap but I don’t know if the have WiFi in their homes hence a spanish number will be cheaper for them to contact me in the uk if need be. They’re probably 50 - 70 age range so not sure how tech savvy they are

From the Lebara website and will likely be typical:

Delivery address. Spain only. We don't send SIM to post boxes

Already checked Skype and Spain was not amongst the list of the 27 countries available.

Sounds to me what you really need though is for someone with adequate Spanish to act as an intermediary for you, I would volunteer myself but my Spanish is definitely not up to it - anyone else?
