Morning all

My partner, aged 58, had her Pfizer on Thursday 10th June and four days later came out in a rash, not just around the needle spot on her arm but all over the body, except on the face, its quite bumpy/lumpy and you notice it more on her 'white bits' where it shows as red.

Has anyone else had this rash and if so, how long did it last. Its still quit noticeable even now.  If you haven't had this rash, have you got any ideas.

I know the logical thing is go to the doctor, but as an non-spanish speaking ex-pat, as most others may know, the doctors over here don't seem to be the most friendly.

Thanks for any help, in anticipation.

Take care and keep safe

David

A pharmacist might be able to help also.

Hi This can happen to some and not other. Draw pen around the rash, if it spreads beyond the pen line seek medical help. Take paracetamol as required. It should go soon. Hope she feels better soon 😎

Covid vaccine is supposed to cause a minor spike protein reaction. It can cause (nervous system, heart vessel...) inflammation.

This is a closer look at skin specifically.

My neighbour got exactly the same reaction. You must go to the doctor (it is very important for him to check you are ok, the doc said it is a rare reaction but can be very serious). I think he had a jab for the allergy. Then he had to have an appointment before the second jab to have allergy tests which took 7 hours in hospital. It was all very professional and concise. If you don’t speak Spanish you’ll have to engage an interpreter

Hi the exact same thing happened to me after having the phizer. I was eventually prescribed strong antihistamine from my doctor which you should be able to get from the pharmacia.. it’s now clearing up nicely, I’m in the uk and had my 2nd vaccine last Sunday.. the medic there still suggested having phizer as my 2nd vaccine and I’ve had no reaction this time.. it shouldn’t be anything to worry about though, I hope this helps.. we have a planned trip over there in July..Can’t wait!!

On our frequent visits, and due to my current health conditions, I have often required to see a doctor. There are many English doctors that you can see in the area. If you are still concerned please make an appointment to get a clear understanding before 2nd vaccination.

All the doctors I've seen have been incredibly professional and helpful and friendly at the hospital and medical centres.
