Hi everyone.

I will be travelling to benidorm from the UK in April and I understand that you don't have to do a lateral/ pcr test before you arrive and that all is required is proof of having vaccines which in my case I've had all three, so my question is what are the general requirements once in the resort ie wearing of face mask 😷 and anything else that might be of relevance. Thank you for reading this and I look forward to your response.

You have to wear face masks when entering shops (including indoor Market), bars, restaurants and Farmacia.

I understand that from February 8th there is no need to wear masks outside.

You may be asked to produce a covid pass and identification in some bars and restaurants.

No other restrictions are in force in Benidorm at this time.

Face masks should be worn both inside public places and outside.   The information regarding not wearing masks is just a proposal at present but is not as yet in force.

About wearing of masks - The BOE is expected to be published on Tuesday 8th Feb, with an expected start date of Feb 10th. So although the government have said the rule on wearing masks outdoors is to be lifted, we don’t yet know the finer details about  still wearing them in crowded places etc.

Current regulations expire end of February and will probably change a few times before your visit in August.

Although the requirements changed quite considerably for anyone aged 12 and over this week, The 11 and under age group are not currently obliged to show any proof of vaccination at present.

I wouldn’t even think about requirements until June at the very earliest, who knows what  will be required! for your August trip.

To be honest many people are ignoring the mask wearing rule when outside, myself included. I've passed police in Alicante and Torrevieja. They didn't seem too concerned.
