How is it going in Benidorm with the virus just wonder if any of the hotels or bars will be opened in the next weeks or months how can they survive without tourists

It’ll only get ‘back to normal’ when this pandemic has been beaten, the ‘normal’ as it existed prior to this situation won’t exist when it ends.
Economic conditions will take years to ‘normalise’ and a state of austerity will be the norm for at least a decade after this ends. The country is highly-indebted and relying on inward investment that will be stifled greatly for years to come. The world has entered into an unknown condition and I predict a worldwide depression where wealthier nations will contract spending and global instability is almost inevitable.

Yeah, too right !
Unfortunately a lifetime in business and seeing recessions come and go leaves one with a sort of insight that tries to predict what is ‘likely’ to happen and business decisions are taken on those grounds. Hindsight is useless, foresight is what makes the cogs turn.
There is certain ‘things’ happening at the moment where it will make it increasingly difficult for entrepreneurial investment that inevitably create jobs.... But that will change as things begin to normalise but measure that timeframe in years I’m afraid.
Still, we’ve come thru difficult scenarios before, we will again...... stay safe.

All Spain is currently in lockdown until at least the 26th April, so no bars, hotels or restaurants will be open until at least that date. However, I believe that the rule is open to extension if the government requires to do so.

I fully agree benisnowbird....on some other expat sites some are expecting Benidorm to be back "up and running" by end of next month!!
