It was Charity jump back in Northern Ireland for my 40th birthday ( long time ago ) and the only seat in the plane was the pilots, the rest of us sat on the floor and it looked like someone had taken a tin opener to the side of the door as there was no door. Madness but great times.

I thought UK none residence could not come to Spain until later in the year. Of course there is Brexit to consider too if it happens at the end of the year. Then its 3 months here, then 3 months in the UK, or 90 days in each country. If you want to become residence you will have to be quick to li...

...ve here perminently, also change the registration on your vehicle. Loads of things to organise if you want to retire to Spain

I’m very easy going and  dont seem to plan anything it just happens and  I generally go with the flow What implications brexit has on me  I never thought about or considered it would be a issue

Will things ever change !

I Have no intentions of working again  just enjoy life Health wise couldn’t be better Any issues arise can also pop back to the U.K. or pay privately  -I’m sure paid Ive enough already to the U.K. system over my working lifetime to cover anything I may require

at the moment there is far to much to see  out there without being confined to one area  by bricks and  mortar I would be quite  happy using my camper as a base  and home it has everything I need  until I find the perfect place to settle  if it’ does exist

The Benidorm area is ideal for me to pitch  up and travel about whenever I feel the desire  it has everything I need  and a great location to explore from

As far as restrictions being put in place on  the amount of time I can spend in the Spain without returning to the U.K.  again will this ever happen !

I have a old  Vw  camper in storage With the down time I have  due to the virus  it’s gradually being overhauled  and being made ready  for travelling  and  a self sufficient life off grid if needed

Think I need to grow dreds and go viganThe hippy in me seem to be surfacing

Once the restrictions are lifted and I can travel All that will leave me do do is sell the motorhome I’m currently living in and I’m off

( whenever this may be ?)

We (mrs benisnowbird, the dog & I) spend from late Sept/early October until April each year along the Costa Blanca/Costa del sol area in our motorhome and do spend extended time in and around the Benidorm area.... we’ve been doing it for years. I’m a little older than you (53) and sold up my business when I was in my late 40’s and haven’t looked back. One life, live it.

We have ferry booked for early October this year and ‘playing it by ear’ at the moment, but if we can travel we will be there. Motorhome life is easy in Spain with many services and sites if you need them.

We carry a motorcycle with us and use it extensively when parked up, it’s an ideal solution. Hopefully see you there this year and if not then sometime during 2021.
