Hey everyone, so I’m trying to find correct information regards moving to Spain, so we live in ireland and I’m Irish but my husband is a uk citizen passport holder, he couldn’t get Irish passport with paying a bomb if we have to go this route we will, but want to find out are we able to move over there as I am an eu citizen and if so what are the rule? Is there a certain amount of money involved or can we just get residents and work or what? Any information grate

If you both wish to move to Spain then you (EU passport holder) will need to register (apply for residency).

Once you have successfully applied then your husband (UK passport holder) can apply on the back of your application. You'll both need full health insurance, without co pay, for 12 months and be able to demonstrate that you have sufficient funds. I seem to remember this was around 600 euro per month. However, much less for the 2nd applicant when we got our residency.

Good luck

Hey thanks for that information, so I need health insurance before I come over and is that 600 a month that I can earn from work over there or have that total amount before I come over? And can I apply for residency before I come or do it there?
