I could do with a contact or 2 to see what (if any) issues there are with moving permanently to a caravan/small apartment in Benidorm.

Apartment is alot better, same rent with more space. No disrespect to anyone on the campsite intended because i have a huge static caravan on sandy bay and also have friends living on each site in benidorm. But in spain i pay 450 amonth, i live 20km from benidorm and have 3 bedrooms, terrace, separate kitchen. Where as in on the campsite you pay the same amount (if not more) for a caravan with communal showers, less space and less privacy, which for me doesn't seem to appealing, again no offense intended to anyone. My advice would be to look online for benidorm and the surrounding areas aswel such as albir, altea, alfas del pi, la nucia, la cala maybe even el campello (which is abit far out but has a large expat community and a beautiful beach) and calpe and see what best suits you, because there are so many options, i check online all the time and with the current covid situation they are desperate to fill apartments so have massive discounts. Hope this info helps you 😀

Hi Gary, I live in Benidorm and wouldn't want to be anywhere else. We had a look at the campsites around the Benidorm area and we decided, as the other poster has said, that we could get an apartment for the same price. Ours is a 2 bedroom apartment with a beautiful 20 foot balcony just on the outskirts of the town. We can walk to the nightlife in 15 mins. The campsites would not be private enough for us.

Have you tried spanish gestorias not ones run by british? We paid 10euro and was done in literally 10mins. Or you can just go straight to the tax office with a translater and they will sort it out for you.

I've been using a firm of English speaking solicitors based in Albir for years to do all my legal work including taxes. They make it very easy and I've never had any problems.

Look a the website for Express Legal Solicitors:

It may also be of help to you if you look at the Citizens Advice Bureau Spain site for bureaucratic information (there is a lot of it) and the N332 site for anything to do with driving in Spain (if relevant to you).
