I joined "Named and Shamed" - I only lasted 4 days, LOL!  It seemed that very few people took the trouble to explain the nature of their complaint, so it was impossible to know whether reports were genuine or not - hence my request for the what, when and why. 

These sorts of review are only useful, and entertaining, with a few juicy details ;o)

No less entertaining tho eh? Like kids in a school yard. Just had a quick look at it before I posted about it (couldn’t remember it’s proper title!) - jeez, couldn’t make head nor tail of it. I did think the “boys” might find it amusing for an hour or so 😉

As you say, very much “he said she said” and stringing a sentence together is a challenge for some 🤪🥂

Battered fish, mushy peas and chips, (not "frozen",) advertise with lovely picture @€4.95, on a black board. 

But, we had our doubts so ordered large fish, mushy peas and chips from the menu at a higher price but that's fine, no problem.. 

We ask the gentleman, who is English, if they serve draft beer and were told that only 1 beer, German to be exact, is from draft.. So we ordered 1 and 1 glass of white wine.. 

We'll, it turned out to be a can of estrella @€1,75..  They actually took the draft beer out, according to the lady sjef (owner?) The English speaking waiter did not understand me after telling us  at least 3 times that the beer is from draft but its a German beer.. The lady (owner?) told us he should never have said this and it will be charged at half the price! Off course I object and offer to pay the full price for it because they obviously need to make money... 

Mushy peas charged at an extra @€1,50per portion, I thought was included in the price, to go with the cod @€10.95per portion.. Small glass of house white wine @€1,90.. 

My problem is, How can they advertise at €4,95 with misleading photos, and when customers ask for this then it's all excuses... As it turned out a table close to us wanted to order the €4,95 menu but was told its not available I think... 

I told this lady, who also told us she can't please all her customers, that I think they con people, sadly.
