Oh Mr Omicron
The time is fast approaching when I should be travelling to Benidorm for some Christmas cheer and sun :-)
But oh dear, I am wondering what Mr Omicron has in store for us ?
For those that are travelling at the moment have you noticed any difference ? Are the airports busy ? Are the VIP lounges open at the airport, I am due to fly out on Easyjet from Manchester. Are the extra check leading to longer check in times and queues ?
Are there many people in Benidorm or has the news of the new strain put people off travelling. In Benidorm itself are things open as normal or have things started to close down again, how about shops, bars, restaurants and the Chinese Massage places ? If all are still open do they have to shut by a certain time?
I know no-one can tell the future but are the Spanish Government considering a tightening up of the restrictions and the entry requirements to get into Spain ?
Lastly, for those that have travelled and arrived back in the UK, how have you got on with the 2 Day PCR tests ?
With the way the holiday falls this year anyone arriving back at the wrong time could have a wait before the post even leaves the post boxes and gets to the testing companies and no doubt there will be an increased demand over the holiday period, this is most like mean that people will not be able to get back to work as planned.
Would be interesting in hearing your experiences and thoughts.
