Update needed on how things are in Benidorm

I live in Benidorm and this is how it is (Tuesday 23/06/20)..........

Taxis are running full time. The local bus services are running full time but at reduced frequency. 

There are some bars open with restrictions on seating and services. Some bars will take your temperature and even disinfect your shoes before entry. The nightclub area still looking like a ghost town and litter strewn. 

Very few restaurants open. 

Beaches are open now with restrictions and you have to book in advance to use the beach when it's busy.

Supermarkets are open as are the Farmacia. 

Hardly any hotels are open yet and those that are have many restrictions. 

Face masks are a requirement in all supermarkets and any areas where it's difficult to keep social distancing.

I arrived at Alicante airport on Monday 22nd June, everyone wearing face covering and your temperature is automatically taken after passing through passport control.

The only mistake I made was to book a bus shuttle online with HOPPA then on arrival discovered no shuttle buses running so had

to fork out for a taxi.

Haven't had time to see what the hotel situation is yet (I am on one of the campsites which is open)

Yes Darren is opening a bar called Mateos and it will be full of "Benidorm " memorabilia. It's located on Avenida del Almeria nearby to Harvey's bar and Barnies.
