Hi

Thanks for letting us join, we are John & Eileen and we live in the Lake District. We realise that with everything that is going on that this may not be the best time but we like to plan ahead and we hope that things will improve for everyone. If all goes well we are looking to spend the winter in Benidorm (Nov-Feb) this year and we are hoping that the good people on here may be able to point us in the direction of a reputable rental company, we also want to look around the forum and get some ideas of things to do in the winter.

all the best

John.

Thanks Ray, it's food for thought, we may have to trim it down a little. We are familiar with the weather as we lived in Benalmadena for 5yrs, we were also residents at that time but we left 5yrs ago so I guess that it will have expired by now?.

John.

Rental agencies leave much to be desired on the internet and often won't bother to reply. The winter rental market becomes very busy and apartments etc are often booked years in front. I've heard and read some horror stories about booking privately owned villas and apartments that weren't there or available on arrival. I suggest that you should spend a short holiday here in Benidorm and do the legwork around the letting agencies to secure a rental. As has been already stated, within 3 months of being in Spain you are required to sign the foreigners register and apply for residency. Check out the legalities of living in Spain for such a long period.
