Hi, I know it's a very long shot. I lost my phone last Friday while in Benidorm.

It is a Samsung A71 phone and the phonecase is an old retro OAFC shirt (blue) with Bovis written on it.

I know I will probably never see this again but if anyone has seen or found, it would be much appreciated. There are sentimental photos on the phone which I could lose.

Thanks

Hi,

It will have been stolen out of your back pocket by a highly skilled pickpocket.

They make a very good living from holidaymakers and your phone will have had the SIM removed in seconds and sold on.

It happens on a regular basis each week here in Benidorm.

It's not a good idea to carry expensive phones in back pockets.

This post that was quoted has been deleted.

Yes don't think I was robbed as I still had my wallet (with money in). Think I have dropped it. Unfortunately back in UK now so going police station non starter.

Pickpockets abound it's true but unless you are laying claim to clairvoyant skills stating that "It WILL have been stolen out of a back pocket" is simply guessing.

Here's a tip which might just get you a phone back even if it has been pinched, be that from a back pocket or elsewhere!

On the lock screen put a message offering a reward of €xx or xxx for it's return along with an alternate contact number or email address.

How much you offer obviously will depend on what your phone is worth to you but I imagine that amongst the lowlife who deal in them stolen phones might only fetch €50 or 100 a pop so a reward of say €100 or 150 could be enough to prompt a thief to take the easy money (yea guv, I found it in the street) and be a price worth paying to get it back.

Yes it will have been stolen out of the back pocket. You won't be able to put a message on the lock screen because they take the SIM out within minutes and make it untraceable.
