Hi all, looking for some advice to purchase property that suits my requirements.

I'm looking to buy somewhere in the Costa Blanca  hopefully within the next 12 months or so.

I have been a regular visitor to Benidorm over the years and find that it suits all my needs and requirements. I am not a mad party animal and there are some downsides to Benidorm but I enjoy the vast selection of bars, restaurants, entertainment, shops / markets  for my other half and the actual size of the resort.

My budget for the property is approx. 80k (separate fund for taxes etc) and I wont find property in Benidorm that suits my needs for that budget.

Can anyone recommend the livelier areas in Costa Blanca that would suit my needs and also has good ex pat community. I was looking at Playa Flamenca / Torrevieja areas. Do you think these areas would suit my needs and can you recommend others. As I said im not a party animal just like the lively / busy vibe.

Thanks in advance

I think that as the property market stands just now you will easily find a smaller apartment in Benidorm within your budget.

I live on the outskirts of the Rincon end of town and can walk to join the nightlife within 15 minutes walk. At home it's away far enough to be fairly quiet in the evening and through the night.

Benidorm, as you know, is a fantastic place to live as you have everything at hand.

Hi Steve

Thanks for your reply.

I looking for 2 bedroom property with some outside space ( larger balcony etc) would possibly take a 1 bedroom if outside space was good. I can't find anything that suits within my budget. I dont want to be in tower block apartment  nor a very small shoe box apartment.

I will keep looking but as yet no joy, thanks for reply

All apartments here are in apartment blocks.

Don't rely on internet estate agents as they are renowned for being unreliable. You need to be over here and looking in the agency Windows and asking inside. There is a lot of apartments for sale here at the moment and it's certainly a buyers market. Brexit has made second home owners think twice and many are cutting their losses and offloading property.

Good luck

Hi Steve

Thanks for reply and advice.

The reason I don't wish to buy in tower block style apartment is I would have young grandchildren coming over at times and I would be constantly worrying with regards to balcony access.

I have seen and rented on occasion what are called bungalows (Actually small terraced flats ) but the ones that seem to be in my price range are just small box divided into room, toilet etc.

I will keep looking and when I eventually get back over I will register with a few local agents.

Thanks again

Alan

Hi Lee

Thanks for taking the time to reply, ye bit over budget, this will be holiday home for myself and family.

Do you think playa flamenco would suit all Mr requirements ?

Is there areas I should avoid ? Are most areas walkable distance to beach and centre ? Hope you don't mind me asking.

Plan to visit next year covid  permitting

Thanks again

Alan
