we are thinking of retiring to Benedorm, would welcome any help especially with buying a house best area etc don't want to be too far from Benidorm town but as long as good transport links....

Hi CPD,
We retired early to Benidorm 6 years ago and never looked back and never regretted a moment. We live within the Benidorm limits but on the outskirts.
I recommend that you rent a house or apartment for the first year to give yourself opportunity to locate the area that suits your needs.
I suggest that you make the move before end of the year when Brexit will alter many things.
Have a look at Jim's Guides that can be found in the drop down list of the menu on the left hand side of the page. The guides will give you all the information you need to make a legal life here in Benidorm.

Simple and very easy answer is no....
Why would I move back to the UK when there's nothing to attract me? Here I've got an more laid back lifestyle by a long way. Sunshine and blue skies nearly every day of the year. My money goes much further. Plenty of expats to mingle with. Loads of places to go and within walking distance. I feel safe here.
I could go on.......
