Have you purchased as a holiday home or are you thinking of moving from the U.K. to become Spanish resident.

Hi, I moved to Benidorm 7 years ago when I was 63 years old. I've never regretted one day.

The thing is you must really want to move as there are loads of frustrating times especially with government departments and getting paperwork in order etc etc.

Do you have UK or EU passports?

if you have UK passports then there will be a lot more advice to give.

Hello  Steve

  I  do  have  EU  passport.

Then you can move to Benidorm and find somewhere to rent or buy.

You will need to apply for residency within the first month of arrival. To gain residency you will need to meet the income and healthcare requirements.

Hi , how often are you in Benidorm, we bought our apartment about 4 years ago , w come out every 6 weeks until covid , then I was stuck in uk and m husband was stuck here , we didn’t even spend xmas together and all our origanum plans changed, Iam planning on spending more time in Benidorm than uk but will visit family , the only problem I’ve found having an apartment is I’m in   A mainly Spanish block , our pools always quite and don’t get to speak to many people , If I Ichosen a caravan I would now ave lots of friends, as the sites are little communities, so I do worry when I come permanently I will be lonely. Good luck with what ever you choose Bev
