Do you have UK passports? Or are you citizens of an EU country?

There is a big difference to requirements depending to whether you are a UK passport holder or have Irish or an EU passport.

It would also help to know if you are looking to work or retiring and if you are of state pension age.

Since Brexit anyone who is a UK passport holder and wants to move over to Spain permanently must apply for a visa from the Spanish consulate in London, Manchester or Edinburgh. You will need to meet the income and healthcare requirements plus some other documents.

If you want to live in Spain and work you must get a prospective employer to sponsor you with a work visa.

Any work that becomes available must be offered to an EU citizen first, by law. If the prospective employer can prove that they cannot find an EU citizen to do the job they are then allowed to offer it to a third country citizen. You would need to negotiate with the prospective employer to sponsor you for the visa.

You could spend €500000 on a house, apartment or in the creation of a business here and get a golden visa.
