Hi alli am seriously considering moving my touring Caravan and putting it in storage in Benidorm on one of the two sites that cater for this.

The main reason being the colder months in the UK are playing havoc with my health.

I just wonder if anyone could advise me on the Carp freshwater fishing around Benidorm during Spain's winter months please.

My thanks in Advance

Jon.

There isn't a great deal of fishing around, however El Bosquet, near Catral is a purpose built carp/fresh water fishery with a lot of groups using it for contests weekly. One link below.

There is a lake near benidorm that is similar, however I think it is a syndicate water that when I was looking couldn't find any information about. Someone else may be able to help with this.

You will need a licence, local tackle shops can do this for you or you can do it yourself in Alicante. A quick search on historical posts on here will give you the information you require for that.

A lot of locals fish the drains in and around the fields which do hold quite a lot of carp and mullet, not something for me but its an option.

Tight lines.

There is a somewhere local to Benidorm where course fishing takes place. There were a few lads who I got to know well who went fishing each week from the site we stay on in Benidorm and it was course fishing they were interested in. I was asked if I wanted to go but I don’t course fish at all. I’ll attempt to find out for you when we get back there which will be later this year.

You’ll find the climate very agreeable with your health, we tend to spend 4 to 5 months every year in foreign climates and enjoy it very much.

Thanks for the info.

I am as much after anything that swims tbh.

This also includes sea fishing.

I know about the Ebro but that seems quite a drive.

My thanks
