Hi there, soon to be moving to the area and keen to find a local photography club for amateurs. Would love to mix with people who can help me progress in something which I enjoy immensely. Helps with making friends in a new place too. Willing to travel a little bit as plan to drive also. Thanks in anticipation.

Was looking as you are earlier this year and thanks to someone on the Forum was pointed towards a Club in Torrevieja, joined in September, meets twice a month in La Siesta, varied and interesting programme and friendly with a wide range of experienced photographers. Check out the website at Torrevieja Digital Camera Club.( www.tdcc.es ).

Give credit where credit is due, it was Pete Knight who helped point me towards the Camera Club.

The Club is fine, some members keep to their own group of friends but overall most are friendly, helpful and welcoming. Outings are arranged, although I haven't been able to go on one yet, that would help when motivation is lacking. Meetings are quite informal, running from 18.00 - 20.00 but open from 17.30 for members to have a chat. Regular online and print competitions, videos and practical advice sessions feature.

Thank you so much for that recommendation. I will look into David’s courses. Many thanks again.

Wplease come along and see what you think for yourself. My husband is the chairman and we try very hard to make everyone welcome. We have regular competitions so this will encourage you to pick up your camera!
