I know it’s hard for us dog owners just now having to walk our dogs such little distances. However we must all do our best to clean up after our pets if they do their business on pavements and roads around the Benimar area of Rojales. There’s a little dog being walked in our area at the moment who has pooped at the entrance to Rojales East III community pool recently and it looks like the same again tonight on the road just further down from the pool. I’m a dog owner myself and carry poop bags everywhere I go. It wouldn’t take much to clean up after this little dog and I urge the owner to be more respectful to the residents in the areas they walk their dogs. Again, I know it’s a trying time but think how you’d feel yourself if dogs were pooping outside your gate and owners leaving it there for you to clean up.

Let’s be careful out there please and I’ll be watching more carefully now for the people who disrespect their neighbours.

Thank you for your time.

Liz54i agree with all that you have said but I'm afraid that there are still some ignorant people who are dog owners and have no intention  of getting free poo bags from the ayuntamiento. They just do t care and leave the poo just anywhere they like. You k ow liz I have been called on by the police many times about leaving dogs poo, but as i explain its not me leaving it on the ground as I have always got poo bags and also carry disinfectant water with me to wash down the road after a pooor wee. I think I get blamed a lot as my. Boys are very large and really it's been only the Spanish who accuse me, I think they feel I should not walk such big dogs through benijofar  like they walk there little ones. Maybe they feel threatened by my boys hdteaven k oed why, its always me accused. The other morning walking through benijofar round the corner by thmigeadte, Benigeast  shop a lady came runni g out of her front door which is situated round the corner to Benigeast   ranting and raving that my boys wee and poo outside her door every morning ndvi just leave it therefor her to clean. We'll we hadn't even got yo her door so how could they have done it. She said she was going to Call la policía in Spanish. So I said go ahead because I do not allow my boys to do that outside anyone  front door. And I showed her my poo bags and water. She was a little taken back but still conti nued so I left. The moral of th story is you never see a Spanish person walking massive mastins through the town as these dogs are not pets to them they are forworking on the farm and never walked. So I think I get singled out as the culprit every time but the police can do nothing even spit checkes I have had to see if I have the bags and water with me but I always do so they can't fine me as I think that's what these peopleseam to want

But I just want to walk my dogs and mind my own business. It would be nice if the police spot checked some little dog owners two I bet a lit would not gave any  gear with them, as they see to think little poo is OK to leave. But heard a laugh if my diog left there poo behind you would know it was my boys as they do so much it would be very  noticible that it came from a big dog ps

Nothing against Little baby s I also have two little ones myself. BUT PEOPLE PLEASE PICK UP. AND WASH DOWN ITS THE LAW AND COMEN SENCE TO DO SO

Whether you have big dogs or little dogs, please do not let them deficate on the footpath where people are walking, even if you carry a water bottle. The dog faeces doesn't all get picked up as some will stick to the surface especially if its runny. Blind people and children walk right into it and then it gets carried back into peoples homes and causes disease!! USE THE GUTTER between footpath and street instead. Train your dogs to use the gutter.  (also called curb) You've already trained them not to deficate in your house and to walk on a leash. So this will be easy. When you see them about to go, just pull them to the edge of the street.  This is standard procedure all over the world. Only here in Torrevieja have I seen such filthy dog owners and they come from all over Europe as well as the Spain. My blind neighbour walks on the streets now instead of the footpaths because of all the dog dung and urine on the footpaths!  We need the police to get serious with these dog owners
