I notice people here have said they have an appointment for residency........ how come every day I try online for an appointment I get this message?

Any help appreciated, thank you, John

information

This Police Station no longer has available appointments for obtaining the EU certificate before the scheduled date for the departure of the United Kingdom from the European Union (June 30). Please check the availability of appointments prior to June 30 at other police stations in your province: https://www.policia.es/documentacion/oficinas/oficinas_extran.html .

In the event of an exit from the United Kingdom of the European Union without agreement on June 30 and not having obtained an appointment for the EU Certificate in Police Station, the procedure to be carried out will no longer be "EU Certificates" but "Procedure for documentation of nationals of the United Kingdom ". To this end, you must request a prior appointment from this moment *, through this same application, in the Immigration Office of your province.

* Notice. If the UK departure date was finally extended, the appointment you obtained at the Aliens Office will automatically become a new appointment to obtain the "EU Certificate".Therefore, you must go to the Immigration Office on the day and time that your appointment indicates.

The online system has been down for quite a while, but some people are getting appointments by going to a national police station in person. I don't know if that applies to all police stations, but it certainly does at some of them.

You said in 2017 that you lived here, so why have you left it so long to seek residency?

I agree. The only appointments coming up on the online system are prior appointments that have been cancelled, and you have to be quick to catch them before someone else does.
