Hi Trev,

To me Your initial budget of £1500  doesn't seem enough .

There are many variables ,not least taxes, healthcare cover, and community expenses etc.

Additional expenses not including food and socialising expenses, would be property insurance , vehicle expenses or public transport costs, Electricity and water Bill's, Monthly TV and/ or Internet charges, property repairs and household renewal of furniture,  and Kitchen Appliances etc when required . In effect, all the outgoings you would normally be paying back in the UK and maybe more.

I would say you would need to start a budget at two, three times and probably even much more of your £1500 estimate.

Are you saying we would need over £3000 sterling per month to live on? we dont have that to live on in the uk and i thought the cost of living was similar to the uk, confused?

No Rdudden, £ 4500 per year and that was only a base estimate for day to day Bill's, just to survive.

In reality it would almost definitely be more. It sure is with us 😀

Rdudden the O.P. seems to be suggesting that amount per year not per month. 😀

. If it is a suggested budjet for a year then it May just be ok if living in a Cave and living off the land .😀

Sorry Trev, not meaning to trivialise your post but if you can come back in and maybe explain a bit more in detail your plans then hopefully we can assist. 👍

I should have made myself clearer, £1500 was per month, not per year or week, thanks

Thanks Trev, you had us in a spin there .

I am with  Rdudden then and £1500 per month should be more than adequate .

Best wishes !
