Hi I want to make some curtains but haven’t seen afabric shop anywhere.  Does anyone know where I can find a curtain fabric store with a good selection around the orihuela area.

Thanks

Judith

Hi, if you re willing to travel a little there is a huge warehouse called Creditex in Castellana (03420 zip code, it’s high in the mountains, north of Alicante) but honestly it is so worth a visit.  It sells fabric off extremely cheaply, I bought fabric there for cushions and curtains at just 2 Euro a metre.  Also sells lace, buttons everything you need.  It is so huge you will be there an hour or so.  There are two sections the main entrance and then a side warehouse you go into by pressing the button on the side of the shutters.  There is also a lovely young lady in there who speaks excellent English.  Another smaller warehouse around the back called Orts Paya.  A little more expensive but still cheaper than most.

Regards

Hi, I think they close at 1.30pm and then re-open at 4pm, half day only on a Saturday.  Check the website Creditex.com
