Can anyone recommend: Garage with Mercedes Knowledge in the Calpe/ Moraira area

There's a Meecedes main dealer in Benissa although perhaps you're already aware....there's probably a Taller at a local garage who can advise and fix, but finding them is the hard bit!

Hi Paul, I take mine to Visauto Denia who must be connected to the Benissa concession because they outsource some work to it. They're expensive, so expensive, but I rely on my treasured CLK so much I'm prepared to take the hit.

I've used Visauto Denia for 6 years, after any work they always 'recommend' a repair of something else. A general policy I suppose. For a hard top/soft top they'd not be my first choice but the problem is finding someone else. If you mix in local bars it would probably be worth asking around the local guys.

Either way I hope you get it resolved ok.

Have you searched the Mercedes’ owners forums for help and guidance on your problem, that’s what I did on my last 2 mercs which can be very useful, I know that the SLK do have problems with the hydraulic pump which operates the roof mechanism, perhaps just a general mechanic may be able to help rather than paying main dealer prices for repairs.

Thanks, but I do not have faith in the general run-of-the-mill garages, I have had some very poor results in the past, and I feel something like this needs to have the knowledge or at least the contacts with Mercedes.

Maybe go to FB and search to see if there's a Benissa Connect or a Moraira Connect group? If there is, apply to join and put your query on there. There's definitely a Javea Connect. Usually someone comes up with a recommendation. The best Spanish mechanics could fix a Challenger tank, the hard bit is locating them!
