Help!

I've lost mine and my little boys residencia cards and I'm sure it's not possible to get a replacement at the moment.

Can anyone tell me what implications this will have. We are due to move house at the start of May. Will this affect this process? It's a rental not purchase.

I do have a photograph of mine. Not sure if that's any use?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

As long as you have your NIEs you should be OK until you get replacements. Your photocopy will at least show that you have one if you are stopped. Make sure you carry your passport, or better still a notarised copy of it at all times as you are expected to always have ID in Spain.

A copy of your bank statement saying 'Residente' would be further proof.

Your NIE is on your residence card, utility bills etc, so make sure you have a note of it.

As far as your rental is concerned, your NIE should be sufficient, unless someone else thinks differently.

If you go to a gestor and ask them to get you replacements, although they won't be able to at the moment, at least you will have documentary proof that you are doing somnething about it.
