We've just been contacted by the organisation who sort our annual non-resident tax for property notifying us that all who own a property in Benissa will receive an extra demand for 2016.  They say:

"the taxes were calculated taking into account the revised cadastre values which they confirm should have been non revised. Therefore we will need to provide complementary submissions in order to get the amounts right with them".

Has anybody else received this information about 2016 non-resident taxes?

Grateful if anyone can enlighten us on this please?

Many thanks

.

Hi Senora,

Based on what your tax advisors have said, I'd be asking them:

-  Who revised the Catastral value and why?  (Agencia Tributatria or your Town Hall?)

-  Who confirmed that they shouldn't have been revised and why not?

-  Whoever made the error should be responsible for paying any fees your tax advisor charges, associated with them having to provide "complementary submissions".

Good luck!

Kind regards,

Kim
