I am moving out to live in the Moraira Javea area. I want health care like l have in uk. Is this possible, or is Private health care the only option ? I am 61

As you are not yet State Pension age you will need Private Health Insurance to gain your Residencia, speak to Alfonso at Gran Alacant Insurances, he is extremely helpful and will talk you through all the options, see their advert down the right hand side of this page or use the link below,once you have had your Residencia for one year you can buy into the Spanish Healthcare System until you get your Pension then contact DWP in Newcastle for your S1 Form which you can then use to get free healthcare ¡, see Jim Taylor's Guide using the link below.

Hi John, Just rereading your previous advise re Healthcare in Spain. Your first sentence....'you will need Private Health Insurance to get your residencia…..' Should that be read as, a new sentence starts after 'residencia ? Just trying to understand the 1st and 2nd sentences. Not sure what the outcome will be after we have left the EU re me living in Spain from Feb. But presume Spain will want us to live there as usual Thanks Paddy

Ha ! Honestly, l wasnt picking holes in the grammar...more like your typing is that fast, your laptop skipped a comma, so l couldn't quite understand it. Really grateful for your advise uncle John ! Paddy
