Hi everyone,

I have a static on a campsite near Bigastro and after arguing with the management about paying the ground rent when I’m not even allowed to travel to Spain they said I will be able to rent it out when the lockdown ends.

Where do I register for a license to be able to let it, and can I do this online ?

I have an NIE number from when I lived in Mallorca years ago and don’t know if I need it or if it’s still valid.

Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Dwayne

Leaving aside that it's not really the site owners fault that you're unable to visit your caravan and whether you are there or not he still has expenses and overheads to pay, because in Spanish terms a static caravan is not classed as a property then I'm pretty sure that there will be no such thing as a tourist licence available for it.

The site owner will know for sure, hopefully you haven't burnt your bridges with him.

Your NIE number should be valid as it's issued for life just like a UK national insurance number.
