Caixa Bank, La Zenia

Hello

Banks will be open as normal on Monday but Tues is a national holiday in Spain & all banks will be closed.....is this causing the confusion?

 I would rather listen to advice from  your banks Customer Services  Dept  than a neighbour

Thanks for your reply. My appointment is definitely booked for Monday not Tuesday. Just wondered if anyone knew for certain if La Zenia branch is permanent closed or just closed for refurbishment?

Are you talking about the Caixabank branch next to Olé, on Ctra. Villamartin, just off the big roundabout on the N332 at La Zenia?  If you look on Google Maps, there are reviews that says that Caixabank/Holabank branch closed during the summer - one Dutch reviewer said it was closed when he went there on 19 June this year and he's posted a photo of a sign in the window that says, "Nos hemos trasladado para seguir ofreciendole el mejor servicio. Estamos en Ctra. Torrevieja-Cartegena" (We have moved to continue offering you the best service.  We are in Ctra. Torrevieja-Cartegena).  Two more reviews within the last 3 months also state that the branch has closed.  Does the confirmation on your banking app give the precise address where your appointment is booked?

Yes the appointment details for 31 October show it as being the branch by Ole communications at La Zenia roundabout and also if you Google Caixabank La Zenia it brings up that the office is still open. Even their own Customer Service said it was. But I guess they are probably based in a place far away from our area. 

I was always with the N332 Cabo Roig branch, but when I made an appointment through the app  in September the pin was actually on the La Zenia branch. I stopped by, and confirmed that it is closed (it looked permanent, and was still closed two weeks ago). Sign on the door says business redirected to Cabo Roig branch, so I’d say your guess is right. If you want to check, my “personal advisor” on the app was the same guy I met in person, so they might be able to confirm for sure. 

Thank you James for that information. My personal advisor on my app is based in Javea (as that’s where my account was opened) and one of the reasons I need to go to either La Zenia or Cabo Roig as we have moved to CR 

Ah. Unless the LZ branch has reopened in the past two weeks, I’d say you’re safe enough going to Cabo Roig. The waiting area for appointments is downstairs, but I would check in at the desk on your way down. Good luck with it. 

elinspain, I have recently been to the La Zenia branch and it is definately closed. As for believing the bank, I would have troublel believing anything this bank and its systems said.

Ha ha yes!  As an update I attended CR branch  this morn and my appointment was there!

La Zenia office next to Ole Communicatiobs is indeed no more but confusingly the CR branch is now called the La Zenia branch
