next step is the bank i presume check its gone through that but i guess it is spanish probably turn up manana lol ive only ever bought from kiosk at bus station so hopefully it will come through for you

Yeah I'm not overly concerned. Just in this day and age of online booking you tend to get a notification straight back. I can always blame the wife, it was her idea. As I mentioned, we normally hire a car but last month when we flew into Alicante the airport was rammed and it took us nearly two hours to pick up a car. We fly in the morning so if nothing arrives later today I'll sort it when we get there. Cheers

A word of warning, boarding the bus often turns into a rugby scrum even when you have booked your ticket, certain Nationalities do not understand the concept of queuing and when you are trying to put your cases into the outside luggage compartment the bus fills with those jumping in front of you. Often a nightmare start to your visit to Spain..

Sounds brutal. We don't have any luggage so we might be the ones doing the "pushing in"

Not sure if anyone is interested but I thought it might be useful to another traveller to share my experience using the bus from Alicante airport to Torrevieja. 

As I mentioned, I tried to book the ticket online and wssntcsure if it had gone through. I screenshot the details. At the bus stop I presented the above to the driver and he accepted it. Bus was busy but not full. 40mins later we arrived at the depot in Torrevieja. Bought tickets for the bus into Cabo Roig. €1.35 each. We were told stand 7. This is when it went a bit wrong. The bus had been and gone early. A very kind Spanish lady explained that we would have to get the time stamp on the tickets changed for the later bus. It wasn't hard as the lady in the booth did it by hand. Unfortunately waited about an hour and a half for the bus to return. (Driver got a right earful off the the Spanish lady for leaving early) We live in La Regia, the bus dropped us quite close to home. All in all not bad experiment. I have subsequently found out that my ticket payment didn't go through I'll have to settle up with them at some point! Finally, in retrospect, we could have got the Torrevieja to Zenia Boulevard bus and walked from there. That bus came in twice whilst we were waiting. Sorry for epic update but it might help someone.
