Hi all ,

New to the forum and this is my first post. We have a apartment in Cabo Roig and are flying out on the 5th August. We were just wondering if communal pools in the complexes are open? Obviously its different to hotel pools as the level of maintenance is a bit different.

Thanks!

Darren

Hi Darren

You will need to get in touch with the administrator for your complex to find the answer to your question. We got sent an email from ours to notify us when our pool was opening and all the restrictions we had to follow,to be able to use it.

As far as I am aware like ours, all communal pools are open with certain regulations on numbers around pool, sanatising, etc.

Sadly our communal pool in Molino Blanco in La Mata hasn’t reopened and shows no signs of opening any time soon.

That will depend on the community. Some have decided to open the community pools and others not because the costs involved to comply with all oficial regulations are too high. So you best contact the administrators of your community to find out if your's is open or not.

It depends on the Administrator, President, the size of the pool and whether they can comply with Government rules.

My own community pool is open but its limited to residents having perhaps one or two hours a day. Space around the pool is allocated on a rota basis. I'm expecting during August, when many Spanish families head for the coast, that there will be more residents than spaces or time allows.

We were over last month and went to the beach instead. It was cooler and less hassle than using the community pool.Cala Capitan was OK with social distancing in place. Cala Caleta beach was the same. La Zenia seemed a little more crowded.

Welcome to the forum Darren.

We received an email from the community office letting us know when the pool would opening and the restrictions that were being implemented (no sun beds or showers to be used),
