Everyone is welcome as long as they adhere to the restrictions here in Spain, they are not optional extras, is is essential that they are observed to protect both those new to Spain and all of us who live here. Things are very different from what you may have experienced on previous visits, socia...

...l distancing, mandatory face masks, social life has changed with bars and restaurants having reduced capacity, some have closed permanently. Come and enjoy your holiday and stay safe.

Thanks John, we're well aware of what's required of us when in Spain and have no problem with it. Think it's going to be a toss of a coin tbh.

Thanks Kevin, we're not home owners but rent a property when out, it's just the whole business of a 2nd lockdown happening when out there, we're so confused tbh.

We are in a different situation to you where we need to go. The choice is yours and only you can decide.

Only you can decide but remember travel insurance will almost certainly not cover you for COVID and I recall reading somewhere it being suggested that EHIC's might not be accepted where tourists had chosen to come despite the risk.

Whilst the Spanish health system is still struggling to get back on it's feet and care for it's own citizens it's a view I can see many sympathising with.

Hi,

we flew to Alicante 14th July and back on the 23rd. Everything in Spain was fine as long as you follow the covid19 rules. Never felt unsafe anywhere we went, shops, restaurants or golf. Bit of a nuisance now that masks are required when walking outdoors (though not if exercising or playing sports), but not a big deal.

The biggest risk for us was the flight, no social distancing possible and every seat full on the way out (Ryanair). Everyone wore masks on both flights and we cleaned our own area with hand wipes plus washed our hands as soon as possible after landing. Airports at both ends were fine.

If you are okay with the flights then there is no problem in Spain and following social distancing will keep you safe.

Rgds,

Aitch.

Yes mate, have now changed my flights to next year, not worth it tbh. But thanks to everyone for their input.

The UK has now reimposed quarantine for everyone returning from Spain, so it looks like few people will be travelling for a holiday.
