You’ll not be reading this as you’ve “had enough”, but if you were I’d say..

You feel it’s “nonsense” for others to have a different viewpoint? Your somewhat aggressive and occasionally rude responses are very dismissive of others.

And who mentioned Guardia Civil? I certainly didn’t. 🤪🥂

My aggressive and rude statements according to you ,which I disagree with ,I think the problem is there are certain members on this forum ,yourself and others who are used to lets say ruling the roost ,you dont like to be challenged  and when your opinion is challenged you then close ranks ,people like yourself will never change my view of life ,where freedom is paramount  and government restrictions are best kept for people like yourself and others of your ilk

Some people ,even when given feedback ,refuse to change.

Oh you’re back! 😉

Now you really are reaching. Certain members ruling the roost? I don’t think so. I’m happy to debate and on this particular thread, I sympathised with the OP for what, for him, appeared to be a spoilt evening.

I also posted to aitch, hoping we weren’t questioning the truthfulness of what posters were saying. On this occasion, as you can see from my recent posting, aitch appears to have been right to be a little sceptical.

You have no reticence in dispensing your opinion of those you disagree with, your posts peppered with “enrol for the police” “meddling in others affairs” “busy bodies” “politically correct people” “but as long as people wear masks getting back to normal will never happen” Even Hitler and Jews got a mention! And that’s only on this thread!

However, when I comment that you are  “somewhat aggressive and occasionally rude”, which, by the way, you are, your only response is one of suggesting “ruling the roost” and “closing ranks”!!

I have never thought that I could change your opinions. I have never stated that you are wrong. I have however, asked twice, regarding mask wearing “Even if we were to accept it does no good, does it do any harm?” Other than “I don’t like it” 🤪🥂

I didn't suggest that your wife didn't wash her hands at all, but that she may not have washed them properly.

The level of viral "load" also makes a difference to the extent of illness that individuals suffer.  Their physiology can make a difference, such as with black and Asian people.  Some types of work make specific groups of people more susceptible, such as medical staff and care workers.&...

...nbsp; There's been a disproportionately high number of people in these professions, who became seriously ill and many died as a direct result of a failure to provide them with adequate PPE (gowns, gloves, face shields and masks) and the close proximity from which they cared for those already sick with Covid.  At the other extreme, there are asymptomatic people going about their business, oblivious that they are infecting their family, friends and colleagues.  If those individuals decide that it's OK for them not to wear masks, not to wash their hands, not to maintain social distance, the possibility for exponential growth in infection rates is increased even further.

The many variables that affect people's susceptibility to catching the virus and the extent to which they become sick is why no single precaution is sufficiently effective to prevent infection.  These precautions aren't put in place as a list from which we can cherry-pick what we want to do - the combination of them all, along with vaccination, provides the best level of protection we have, until such time as the world gets Covid-19 under control.

Or instead of saying people on the front line like nurses didnt get the correct ppe or that they didn't wash their hands, a better and quick way to say it is that masks don't fully work?

It is somewhat ironic that the people who are wearing masks are protecting YOU and others who don't wear them NOT themselves!
As Angebadge asks...Does it do any harm?  You still haven't responded to that question.

Thankfully not everyone is so selfish!  This is about "we" not "me".

I wouldn't wish covid on anyone but I hope all the selfish anti vaxxers and anti mask wearers etc have the decency to refuse hospital /GP treatment if they are unfortunate enough to contract it!  Somehow I very much doubt it tho!
