Download the app AlertCops where you can report issues, once you have registered with the app there is a chat or call button.

Thanks.

Hit the owner where it hurts by taking your custom elsewhere?

And that’s what we will do, and recommend others do to

There is a difference going to a bar and knowing the dangers than going to a bar where the only people breaking the rules endangering others is the owners family.  Everyone else followed the rules.

So to be clear though you would be happy with someone breaking the rules endangering others and you would also break the rules?...

...

How else would you like to regulate people's behaviour in bars?  No shouting?  No drinking too much?  No physical contact?  No racism by supporting one side and not the other? I think it's highly unlikely that this lady was the only person there that wasn't strictly following the Covid rules.  I've lost track of them - do you still have to wear a mask when you stand up?

I'm much more concerned about the actual risk of disease transmission than trying to dob in other people to the police because they've broken some rules which seem rather pointless in the current circumstances.

Covid regulations still apply so the lady in question should have been fined as well as the bar owners.

It’s a breach of regulations so the police should have been involved. It would make me question if the bar are following all the other regulations.

So sad to see rules not being followed especially when the bars probably had their busiest evening in 16 months.

I guess you’re going elsewhere to watch the final I know I would.

L

Yep, definitely a different bar for the final

So there’s no risk in the owner allowing there own mother and friends to sit in the middle of everyone else, and adding chairs to their table so that they are sitting within 30cm of other tables, smoking constantly?  Everyone else was leaving their tables standing away from all others to smoke.

Hello

Absolutely agree Steve, if a phone call to report it could mean a' pop in' visit from local police or G.C. great -  otherwise...vote with your feet & go elsewhere & hope that like minded others, who care about safety,  will follow.

Cheers

Elinspain

Well said, totally agree

I do not believe that it is right that a business owner should allow anyone to flout the rules which endangers everyone.  That the person doing so was her own family member and friends is even worse.  Are you happy with people breaking the rules endangering others?

I agree but unfortunately one a**ehole leaves and another one arrives that the way bars are. Reporting them isn't going to make a difference.

I dont know how people think they have the right to police other peoples behaviour, I would think if you wish to do this ,enrol for the police .If I visit a bar and theres something I dont like ,eg facilities, prices ,beer selection or peoples behaviour  I leave and dont go back ,as the meerkats say Seemple

My point exactly. Filling out a report for something that isn't going to change a thing is a waste of everyone's time.

John 52. Does this attitude apply to all laws or are you selective? If a drink driver crosses to your side of the road and crashes into you do you decide not travel on that road? If you are assaulted and suffer brain damage, do you refuse to return. If you are ripped off, do you accept the loss and refuse to go back? Or like most normal people do you seek to change behaviour and seek retribution? Laws are there to regulate behaviour and provide retribution. If you want to accept the bad behaviour of others and move on that is your right. However it allows that bad behaviour to be perpetuated. Eventually this leads to a situation where everyone is subjected to unacceptable behaviour. Only my opinion.
