Yes Aitch, that was exactly my point. I have friends who had their 3rd jab/ booster on the 23rd of October, their 270 days will end in July. Then what ? This is going to be an issue and despite the EU directive, it seems many countries are coming up with different dates and length of validity. Th...

...ere's is no joined up thinking even within the EU. The Austrian government are acting like the gestapo, they are going to send the police round to homes where the persons are not vaccinated or had their 3rd jab.  Huge fines if you don't comply, but what if you can't or won't pay, round them up and put them in a camp? This is going way to far imho. It's crazy people don't need to keep being jabbed every 6-9 months and how are these governments going to afford it? The vaccines either work or they don't. Vaccines are supposed to protect the person not others. If you have a vaccine say against yellow fever or hepartitis, the vaccine prevents you from contracting it.

In the UK 70,000 NHS staff including many doctors and nurses have not had any covid vaccine. A big protest was held in London last week. Despite being threatened with losing their jobs, so you have to wonder why??? The NHS can't afford to lose any staff. There's already over 100,000 vacancies in the NHS. They can't attract staff for love nor money.

There is going to need a re-think as else no-one will be going anywhere.

Very true. You say cant get staff for love nor money . Nurses only got 3% pay rise . Worked shoulder to shoulder without any vaccinations. They nursed the most dangerous patients and many died . Now these same nurses and doctors are being told to go. Just doesnt seem fair especially like you say booster only lasts 10-12 weeks anyway.

Hi Hew, I would agree it's not something to worry about.

For info, my wife and I had our boosters November 3rd and the details showed on our NHS app within 48 hours, it shows all three jabs.

Hopefully it will be back to a free world soon;

Yes Aitch, but depending on when you got the third booster in the Uk, remembering some had it as soon as they could, what happens when their 3rd jab is older than 270 days? some people had it in November, 270 days is slightly less than 9 months , so that could be end of July /August time, then wh...

...at? If they had it in January, that's September time.  I really don't think many will want another. W.H.O have stated its not a good thing to keep vaccinating the populations.

Rules have been drastically changed today in the Uk, some from tomorrow and many others from the 26th of January.

Then you can get your 4th shot got mine last Mon although it is personal choice I will continue to take jabs as long as they keep me safe and allow me to visit my holiday home in Spain

The general population in the UK is not being offered a 4th shot yet and will not until the JVCI decide it is needed. But this not something to worry about at present in terms of getting into Spain.

Hi,

thanks for the info. I don't think it will be such a big issue for UK adults as most (who want them) will have had three jabs by now anyhow. The under 18's might be more of an issue, although there is a plentiful supply of 1,2, and booster doses in the UK and they are easily bookable...

.... Whether everyone wants them is another matter.

If that is the Spanish requirement then people will have to adhere to it or not visit.

All getting totally absurd now. Confusing to say the least and France is worse. Can't even transit through without a million bits of paper  🙄 my husband and I like so many other people have offered ourselves up to all 3 jabs not knowing long term effects and still being asked to jump through hoops. I'm getting too old for all this aggravation seriously thinking of selling our Spanish home as it's just too damn hard getting there and back as and when we want to

Hi Karen,

I don't drive through France so I cannot comment on the hassle that brings. We did not find it particularly difficult flying from UK to Spain, all we needed was our covid passes and the completed Spanish health form. Going back looks like it will be the UK health form only from end of this month, no more testing for the fully vaccinated.

This 270 day rule in Spain will not be such an issue, either it does not apply if you have had a booster jab or it may require a 4th jab. It's really not clear yet but, in my opinion, nothing to be concerned about right now.

I would not give up yet, wait and see what the next 12 months brings.

Rgds,

Aitch.

Thank you. Just feel so fed up with it all. It's very rare we fly over as we have dogs but just heard that from 11th February no testing at all for fully vaccinated persons returning to UK only passenger locator form so that just leaves France to contend with. We will hold on a bit longer thank you

Hi Lee,

when did you have the last dose that took you to fully vaccinated, i.e. second jab or a 2 dose vaccine or a single jab of a one dose vaccine? After Feb.1st entry is allowed up to 270 days after the jab that took you to fully vaccinated.

If you are in England, call 119 to ask about the missing info on your NHS app. I don't know the numbers for the other UK countries but you will be able to find out via Google.

Rgds,

Aitch.
